Grandad I would always know when your around, when I walked through the door you would say "alright pet?" or when you walked up the stairs he would say the same but yinalways questioned how he knew because the noise of his oxygen machine as so loud.
I do miss him but I can always have a conversation with him anytime, all I need to say is "hi" and he will say "alright pet".
